The C2000™ 32-bit microcontrollers are optimised for processing, sensing and driving to improve closed-loop performance in real-time control applications such as industrial motor drives, photovoltaic inverters and digital power supplies, electric vehicles and transportation, motor control, as well as sensing and signal processing.The C2000 family consists of an advanced performance MCU and an entry-level performance MCU.

The F2803x family of microcontrollers combines the performance of the C28x core and Control Law Accelerator (CLA) with highly integrated control peripherals in a low pin count device. The code of this family is compatible with older C28x-based code while providing a high level of analogue integration.

The internal voltage regulator enables single-supply-rail operation, and the HRPWM module has been enhanced to enable dual-edge control (FM). An analogue comparator with a 10-bit internal reference has been added for direct routing to control the PWM outputs, and the ADC converts over the full scale range from 0V to 3.3V and supports proportional arithmetic with the VREFHI/VREFLO references. the ADC interface has been optimised for low overhead and latency.
