Product Description Of AD5593RBCPZ:

The AD5593RBCPZ has eight input/output (I/O) pins that can be independently configured as digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) outputs, analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) inputs, digital outputs or digital inputs. When the I/O pin is configured as an analogue output, it is driven by a 12-bit DAC with an output range of 0 V to VREF or 0 V to 2 × VREF. When the I/O pin is configured as an analogue input, it is connected to a 12-bit ADC through an analogue multiplexer with an input range of 0 V to VREF or 0 V to 2 × VREF. The state of the GPIO pins can be set or read back by accessing the GPIO Write Data Register and GPIO Read Configuration Register through I2C write or read operations, respectively.

The AD5593RBCPZ integrates a 2.5 V, 20 ppm/°C reference (off by default) and a temperature indicator to show the chip temperature. The temperature value is read back as part of the ADC read sequence.
