LTC1668IG is a 16-bit, 50Msps differential current output DAC. The LTC1668IG is manufactured using a high-performance BiCMOS process and features laser-trimmed thin-film resistors. The combination of an innovative current-steering architecture and a high-performance process results in a DAC with outstanding AC and DC performance.
The LTC1668IG is the first 16-bit DAC on the market to achieve 87dB SFDR (spurious-free dynamic range) at an output signal frequency of 1MHz.
The LTC1668IG operates on ±5V power supplies and can be configured to provide up to 10mA of full-scale output current. The differential current output of these DACs enables single-ended or true differential operation.
The LTC1668IG's –1V to 1V output compliance allows the output to be directly connected to an external resistor to generate a differential output voltage without compromising the converter's linearity. Alternatively, the LTC1668IG can connect the output to the summing node of a high-speed operational amplifier or to a transformer.
The LTC1668IG is a pin-compatible device, available in a 28-pin SSOP package, and fully specified for operation over the industrial temperature range.
