The VSC7420 is the industry's first fully integrated 10-port Gigabit Ethernet (GE) switch with eight copper PHYs in a single package.The VSC7420 is based on 65-nanometer technology, making it one of the industry's most cost-effective and lowest power solutions. It includes state-of-the-art IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet features to bring green technology solutions to market. Rich Ethernet switching features such as Layer 2 forwarding with VLAN and QoS processing provide differentiated services, and the VSC7420 includes an 8051 CPU that provides a comprehensive application software package for LED control, loop indication, device overheat protection, and other enhancements.
