Full-Stack Supply of Robot Chips: From AI SoCs to Sensors, Mingjiada Electronics Empowers the Industrialization of Embodied Intelligence
Latest company news about Full-Stack Supply of Robot Chips: From AI SoCs to Sensors, Mingjiada Electronics Empowers the Industrialization of Embodied Intelligence

Mingjiada Electronics Shenzhen Distributor—With nearly 30 years of experience in component distribution, we provide one-stop procurement solutions for the full range of robotics chips

I. The “Brain” of Robots: AI SoCs and High-Performance Chips

1.1 Allwinner Technology AI SoCs: A Matrix of Chips Dedicated to Robotics

Mingjiada Electronics has long supplied Allwinner Technology AI SoCs, covering all scenarios from entry-level to high-performance applications. In particular, the company has launched a dedicated chip series specifically for robotics applications:

MR527: An octa-core, high-performance chip designed specifically for robotics, integrating an 8-core Arm Cortex-A55 CPU, GPU, NPU, and MCU to form a complete heterogeneous computing architecture. It features powerful hardware encoding capabilities and sensor adaptation capabilities;

MR536MX-N3Z: A high-performance robotics AI chip featuring a 4-core Cortex-A55 architecture, with NPU computing power reaching up to 3 TOPS. It supports Transformer models and over 130 operators, significantly enhancing a robot’s cognitive and recognition capabilities;

MR813: A quad-core robot-specific chip integrating a 4-core Cortex-A53 CPU and an Imagination PowerVR GE8300 GPU, supporting encoding up to 1080P@60fps. Its built-in GPU efficiently supports SLAM/VSLAM algorithms, enabling robots to achieve precise navigation and obstacle avoidance.

1.2 Development Trends in Robot “Brain” Chips

From a market perspective, competition in the robot “brain” chip sector is increasingly shifting toward a platform-based model. Horizon Robotics has taken the lead in establishing a platform effect in the humanoid robot “brain” market through its BPU architecture and open-source ecosystem, while Black Sesame’s A2000X leads the pack with a computational performance equivalent to 1,000 TOPS. Mingjiada Electronics is keeping pace with industry trends. In addition to Allwinner Technology, it can also collaboratively supply high-performance SoC chips from brands such as Rockchip and Xilinx to meet the needs of robotics applications across different computing power tiers.

II. The Robot’s “Cerebellum”: Motion Control and Real-Time Communication Chips

2.1 Motion Control MCUs: The “Nerve Center” of Joint Drives

Humanoid robots have dozens of degrees of freedom throughout their bodies, and each joint requires independent motor drive and encoder control. At the “15th Songshan Lake China IC Innovation Summit,” several domestic control chips had already achieved large-scale mass production:

Xianji Semiconductor HPM6E8Y: A real-time control chip for driving robot joints, which entered mass production in January 2025 and had shipped approximately 1 million units as of March 2026; Based on the RISC-V architecture, it integrates industrial protocols such as EtherCAT and TSN, and supports microsecond-level concurrent control of multiple joints;

Jihai Semiconductor’s G32R501: A high-performance, high-safety real-time control MCU/DSP chip designed for embodied robots, with approximately 400,000 units shipped.

Mingjiada Electronics offers immediate availability of 32-bit MCUs from leading international brands such as ST (STMicroelectronics), TI (Texas Instruments), NXP (NXP Semiconductors), Microchip, and Infineon, while also supporting procurement needs for high-performance domestic MCUs from manufacturers like Xianji Semiconductor.

2.2 Motion Control Communication: EtherCAT Chips Break Down Industrial Bus Barriers

High-speed industrial bus technology is crucial for robotic servo drives. Chuangyao Technology has launched a new low-power, ultra-compact EtherCAT slave control chip designed for humanoid robot joint communication. This chip can limit robot joint communication latency to the microsecond range. It has passed qualification testing by several leading embodied robot manufacturers and has entered the small-batch shipment phase.

III. Robot Perception Systems: Vision, Tactile, and Position Sensing

3.1 Visual Perception: From ISP to LiDAR

Robotic vision systems are regarded by the industry as the “first gateway” to AI, and their complexity even surpasses that of autonomous driving—robots must navigate unstructured scenes, move freely, and operate in complex, multitasking environments.

Mingjiada Electronics’ Visual Perception Chip Supply Capabilities:

ROHM Laser Diodes: Supplies 905nm pulsed high-output infrared laser diodes (RLD90QZW5/25W, RLD90QZW8/120W, RLD8BQAB3/8-channel array 1kW-class), suitable for 3D ToF ranging in robotic vacuums and humanoid robots, AGV industrial navigation, and drone obstacle avoidance; Also supplies 660nm red LDs for visual positioning;

Image Sensors: Can jointly supply high-performance global shutter image sensors such as the Starvis SC533HGS, empowering high-end machine vision.

3.2 Position and Angle Sensing: Addressing the “Position Loss Upon Power Loss” Challenge

ADI’s ADMT4000 single-chip multi-turn angle position sensor utilizes electromagnetic induction to achieve a “power-off memory” function, recording up to 46 turns of rotation data without a battery. This eliminates the need for robot recalibration after an unexpected power loss and restart. The newly launched 5×5mm compact package version is specifically designed for space-constrained cable-driven dexterous grippers.

3.3 Tactile Perception: Force Sensing and Multimodal Sensing

Dexterous hands are considered the “last mile” in the commercialization of humanoid robots. ADI has introduced the TMC6460 single-chip driver solution (measuring just 5×7 mm), which integrates MOSFET drivers and a hardware FOC algorithm and supports SPI daisy-chain communication, significantly simplifying wiring for multi-finger actuation. Its AI-powered dexterous hand skin sensing system can simultaneously capture multidimensional data such as pressure distribution, micro-vibrations, contact status, and temperature, supporting 32×32 high-resolution arrays and real-time inference at the kHz level.

IV. Communication and Connectivity: Industrial Ethernet Chips

The complexity of internal robot wiring harnesses is one of the engineering bottlenecks limiting mass production. ADI’s T1S single-pair Ethernet technology (ADIN1140) can daisy-chain multiple joint nodes using a single twisted-pair cable, supporting a daisy-chain topology, which significantly reduces the number of wiring harnesses and the difficulty of overall assembly.

For the process industry, ADI’s Ethernet-APL solution (ADIN2111 dual-interface chip), based on 10BASE-T1L technology, offers a transmission distance of up to 1.6 kilometers with a power consumption of only 39 mW and supports hand-in-hand linear networking.
