The XENSIV KP204XTMA1 is a pressure sensor for the detection of side collisions in passenger cars. In this application, the pressure sensor is installed in the door module inside the side door of the car. When the door is compressed due to a side impact, the KP204 provides a signal pulse proportional to the change in pressure inside the door.
