Device Overview
The IR3899AMTRPBF is an easy-to-use, fully integrated DC-DC buck regulator. The on-board PWM controller and MOSFET with integrated bootstrap diode make the IR3899A a small board area solution for efficient power delivery. In addition, it features a fast constant on-time (COT) control scheme that simplifies design effort and provides fast control response.

The IR3899AMTRPBF has a built-in low dropout voltage regulator and can be powered from a single supply. the IR3899A is a multifunction regulator that offers a programmable switching frequency from 600 kHz to 2 MHz, two selectable current limits, forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM), and diode emulation mode (DEM) operation.

It also features important protection features such as pre-biased startup, thermally compensated current limits, over- and under-voltage protection, and thermal shutdown to provide the system-level safety required in the event of a fault.
