This means it can be placed directly on the high-side or low-side for measurement, and can accurately distinguish between charging (forward) and discharging (reverse) currents. This is critical for charge/discharge management in electric vehicle BMS and for phase current reconstruction in motor drives.
3. Enhanced EMI/EMC Performance
The AD8418BRMZ integrates an EMI filter and employs a specialised input stage design, enabling it to maintain excellent common-mode rejection even in the presence of severe PWM switching noise (such as in motor inverter environments), ensuring the output signal remains undistorted by noise.
