Mingjiada Electronics Supply ADI ADM823, ADM824 And ADM825 Series Supervisory Circuit
In microprocessor and embedded system design, power supply monitoring and reset management are fundamental to ensuring reliable system boot-up and stable operation. ADI’s ADM823/ADM824/ADM825 series of microprocessor monitoring circuits have become a popular choice for many compact electronic systems due to their low power consumption, small package size and flexible reset output options. Mingjiada Electronics supplies this series of monitoring circuit ICs, providing support for design selection and mass production procurement.
Series Overview: Three models, distinguished by their reset output configurations
The [ADI] ADM823/ADM824/ADM825 are all monitoring circuits featuring watchdog and manual reset functions, designed to monitor power supply voltages and code execution integrity within microprocessor systems. The on-chip watchdog timer not only provides a power-on reset signal but can also reset the microprocessor if it fails to generate a enable pulse within a preset timeout period. The reset signal can also be triggered by an external button via the manual reset input. The three devices feature different combinations of watchdog inputs, manual reset inputs and output stage configurations. These devices offer seven reset threshold options, selectable within a range of 2.19 V to 4.63 V. The reset and watchdog timeout periods are fixed at 140 ms (minimum) and 1.6 seconds (typical), respectively.
Key Features at a Glance:
ADM823: Push-pull output, active-low reset;
ADM824: Open-drain output, active-low reset, facilitating integration with different logic levels or line-level logic;
ADM825: Push-pull output, active-high reset, suitable for processors or peripherals requiring an active-high reset signal.
