Product Overview Of TAS2781EVM
The TAS2781EVM demonstrates the performance of the TAS2781 device in a mono configuration. This design utilizes an onboard controller to provide connectivity interfaces and supply voltages. The TAS2781 is a mono, digitally controlled Class D audio amplifier optimized for efficiently driving high peak power across various speaker types, making it suitable for diverse audio applications. The amplifier's output stage employs Y-bridge technology, switching between two distinct voltage rails based on output power requirements to significantly enhance conversion efficiency during low-power operation. This Class D amplifier delivers 25W into a 4Ω load from a 16V supply voltage. Integrated speaker voltage and current detection functions monitor parameters such as DC resistance and resonant frequency in real time, effectively preventing mechanical/electrical damage. The TAS2781 supports I²S/TDM, I²C, and SPI interfaces.
The TAS2781EVM facilitates evaluation and development of TAS2781-based designs through the following interfaces:
