Mingjiada Supply SONY Event-Based Vision Sensor (EVS), Supply CMOS Image Sensors
Sony’s Event-Driven Vision Sensor (EVS) detects changes in brightness at each pixel asynchronously. By combining coordinate and time information, it outputs data only for pixels where changes have occurred, thereby achieving highly efficient, high-speed, low-latency data output. Leveraging these features, it efficiently supplies data to recognition and processing systems, playing a key role in high-speed object detection, machine monitoring, moving object detection and analysis, and image recognition within the industrial sector.
[SONY] Event-Driven Vision Sensor (EVS) — A vision sensor that seamlessly captures ‘motion’ with high temporal resolution. Models supplied by Mingjiada Electronics:

IMX647-AAMR-C — Diagonal 3.983 mm (1/4.5-type), 640 (H) x 512 (V) approx. 320,000 pixels, ceramic LGA package (dimensions 13 mm x 13 mm)
Features:
1. Compact size, high resolution, high speed and high temporal resolution
With the industry’s smallest pixel size of 4.86μm, it achieves high temporal resolution and high-output event data readout.
Leveraging miniaturisation technology from Sony’s stacked CMOS image sensors utilising Cu-Cu bonding, the sensor maintains a high aperture ratio in the pixel section whilst achieving the industry’s smallest pixel size. This has enabled the commercialisation of a compact, high-resolution event-based vision sensor (capable of continuously capturing images with dynamic brightness changes) that offers high speed and high temporal resolution.
2. High-speed output with low power consumption
An event-based approach has been implemented, wherein the unique stacked structure detects changes in pixel brightness asynchronously and outputs data combined with coordinate and time information. Compared to frame-based methods, this approach enables the output of only valid information at microsecond-level speeds whilst consuming low power.
3. Unwanted events can be removed with high precision via filtering functions
To accommodate a wide range of applications, the product is equipped with multiple filtering functions for event data. This feature allows the filtering out of unwanted events occurring at specific intervals, such as LED flickering, as well as events that are unlikely to form part of a moving subject’s silhouette.
