Integrated 4-directional polarisation elements on the image sensor
- Sony’s polarisation sensor incorporates 4-directional polarisation elements, enabling the capture of polarised images in four directions during a single autofocus operation. The polarisation direction (direction of light vibration) and degree of polarisation can be calculated based on the brightness values from the polarisation elements in each direction. Combined with subsequent signal processing, polarisation information can be obtained in real time.

- Utilising column-parallel A/D conversion technology, the IMX250MZR/MYR achieves high-speed shooting at up to 163.4 frames per second (8-bit ADC), the IMX264MZR/MYR at up to 35.7 frames per second (12-bit ADC), and the IMX253MZR/MYR at up to 68.3 frames per second (8-bit ADC).
Equipped with ROI and trigger functions
- In ROI mode, which allows users to define any area, the IMX250MZR/MYR supports up to 8×8 (64) regions, whilst the IMX264MZR/MYR supports 1 region. The IMX253MZR/MYR not only supports 8×8 (64) regions but also offers greater flexibility in region designation, allowing regions to overlap. The trigger mode, which controls exposure time via an external pulse, offers a variety of exposure methods.
