Product Overview:
The STA8600AP is a quad-frequency, multi-constellation positioning receiver IC. It requires only a minimal number of external components, as it incorporates sufficient MIPS and memory resources to support up to four frequency algorithms on-chip (with sub-metre accuracy). It supports the Teseo-DRAW (Trajectory Estimation for Automotive Positioning) and Teseo-DRUM (Trajectory Estimation in Unplugged Mode) positioning methods, enabling high-precision positioning in challenging environments such as tunnels, car parks and remote urban areas.
The STA8600AP is housed in a 7×7 mm VFQFPN-56 package, complies with AEC-Q100 automotive-grade certification, and operates within the 105°C automotive temperature range. Both chips feature dual independent Arm® Cortex®-M7 processor cores, with on-chip RAM, NVM and cache, enabling up to four-frequency algorithms to run directly on-chip.
