Product Overview

The BG95xA-GL is a series of ultra-compact LPWA modules with an integrated GNSS engine supporting LTE Cat M1 and LTE Cat NB1/NB2 bands. It is fully compliant with 3GPP E-UTRA Release 13/14* specifications and offers a global carrier band mix.

Powered by the MIPS 5150 processor, the series utilises integrated RAM and Flash memory to achieve ultra-low power consumption and very low current consumption in all standby/sleep modes, including 3GPP PSM and eDRX. The BG95xA-GL also includes a GNSS and cellular positioning engine with support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS. The BG95xA-GL also features a comprehensive hardware-based safety feature, the Integrated Safety Element (ISE).

The family's ultra-compact SMT form factor of 23.6mm × 19.9mm × 2.2mm and high level of integration allow integrators and developers to easily design applications with its low power consumption and compactness, while the BG95xA-GL's advanced LGA package enables the fully automated manufacturing required for large-scale applications. A rich set of Internet protocols, industry standard interfaces and extensive features enable the series to serve a wide range of IoT applications such as wireless POS, smart metering, tracking, wearables and more.
