NRF52832-QFAA Chip Description:

The nRF52832 is a powerful multi-protocol single chip solution for ULP wireless applications. It combines the best Nordic inclass high performance radio transceiver, an ARM®Cortex™ M4F CPU512kB Flash and 64kB RAM memory. nRF52832 supports Bluetooth® Low Energy (Bluetooth 5), ANTTM and 2.4GHz proprietary protocol stacks. The device also features an NFC-a tag interface for OOB pairing. The low-power, high-performance nRF52832 combined with the use of a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4F MCU has extensive flash memory availability totalling 512kB, with 400kB available for application development. Code density and execution speed are much higher than 8/16-bit platforms.

Hardware support for DSP instructions and floating point operations positions the Cortex M4F for Cortex M0/M0+/M3 and M4 performance. The Programmable Peripheral Interconnect (PPI) system provides a 20-channel bus for direct as well as CPU-less autonomous system peripheral communication interventions. This brings predictable latency times for peripheral devices associated with peripheral interactions and power saving benefits leaving the CPU idle. The device has 2 global power modes on/off, but all system blocks and peripherals have separate power management controls that allow for automated switching of system blocks to run/idle needing/not needing to complete a specific task based on the following only.

This new radio is designed to support Bluetooth 5 2MB mode. This means that the nRF52832 can meet the Bluetooth requirement 5 application. It supports Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth 5), ant and proprietary 2.4GHz applications. It is compatible over-the-air with nRF5x and nRF24x devices. (Output power programmable between +4dBm to -20dBm, receiver sensitivity is -96dBm for Bluetooth low energy 1Mbs).
