Precision ADC are known for their ultra-high resolution and very low noise, typically represented by the ADS12xx series (e.g. ADS1256, ADS1278) and the ADS16xx series (e.g. ADS1675). These precision ADCs typically have 24-bit resolution, signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) up to 110dB or more, and integral nonlinearities (INL) less than ±2LSB, making them ideal for application scenarios that require high-precision measurements. In industrial process control, they are used to accurately measure parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc.; in medical equipment such as ECG machines and blood analysers, to ensure accurate acquisition of vital signals; and in scientific instruments such as mass spectrometers and chromatographs, to achieve reliable conversion of weak signals.
