Infineon PSOC™ automotive multi-touch Gen7XL controllers perform on-chip haptic and acoustic feedback processing for faster response times. These touchscreen controllers feature hover and pressure touch functionality while meeting automotive electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements. The multi-touch Gen7XL controllers replace mechanical on/off buttons with capacitive touchscreens in infotainment systems. The controllers operate over the -40°C to 85°C ambient temperature range (Class A) and -40°C to 105°C ambient temperature range (Class S).

The multi-touch Gen7XL controllers feature a 32-bit Arm® Cortex® CPU, Wake-on-Screen functionality with a typical power consumption of 150μA, and noise suppression technology for display and RF noise. These controllers support split-screen, Android™ drivers and a variety of touchscreen sensors. This multi-touch Gen7XL controller is intended for use in entry-level and mid-level central information display (CID) systems.
