The ST75MMTR is a flexible system-on-chip for powerline communication that combines a high-performance PHY processor and a protocol controller core, implementing the METERS AND MORE protocol standard as well as a fully-integrated analogue front-end (AFE) and line driver in a single chip for future-proof, compact and cost-effective smart grid solutions.

 Standards-compliant system-on-chip for power line communications for meters and more

 High-performance, configurable DSP core for flexible PHY layer processing:

- Very robust B-PSK modulation with convolutional coding and Viterbi decoding, compliant with METERS AND MORE specification, at 4.8 kbps data rate.

- Optional high-speed mode with Q-PSK and 8-PSK modulation for data rates up to 28.8 kbps

- Optional dual-channel mode of operation

- Optional peak noise avoidance algorithm mode

- Signal-to-noise channel estimation

 8-bit protocol engine with embedded METERS AND MORE-compliant data link layer packetisation.

 Host controller UART interface up to 57.6 kbps

 Embedded AES-128 encryption engine for data authentication and confidentiality services

 Fully integrated analogue front-end:

- ADC and DAC

- Digital transmission level control

- PGA with automatic gain control

- High sensitivity receiver

 Fully integrated single-ended power amplifier for line drives

- Up to 1 A rms, 14 V p-p output

- Configurable active filter topology

- Very high linearity

- Embedded temperature sensor

- Current control function

 8 to 18 V power amplifier supplies

 3.3 V or 5 V digital i/o power supply

 Embedded over-zero detection for line phase identification

 For applications complying with CENELEC EN50065, ARIB and FCC Part 15 standards

 Embedded access protocol for EN50065-compliant applications in the 125 to 140 kHz band

 Communication carrier frequency programmable up to 250 kHz
