1. CV3-AD Series – Flagship Autonomous Driving Central Domain Controller
The CV3-AD series is Ambarella’s flagship product portfolio designed for advanced autonomous driving. Based on the fully scalable, high-efficiency CVflow 3.0 architecture and utilising Samsung’s 5nm automotive-grade process, it delivers hundreds of TOPS of computing power whilst maintaining industry-leading energy efficiency per watt. The series comprises the following three main models:
CV3-AD635: Designed for high-speed NOA and memory driving solutions, it can process 7 cameras and 5 millimetre-wave radars in real time, supporting BEV+Transformer+front-end fusion algorithms, and operates without the need for high-definition maps. The chip features an ultra-low-power design, requires no fan, and can be passively cooled, making it highly suitable for mainstream L2+ autonomous driving scenarios.
CV3-AD655: Designed for urban NOA and automated valet parking (AVP) solutions, it can process 12 camera feeds, 5 millimetre-wave radar channels and 3 LiDAR channels (optional) in real time, with chip power consumption below 30 watts. Combined with the Imagination IMG BXM GPU, this model enables real-time surround-view visualisation for L2++/L3 vehicles and supports BEV, Transformer, Occupancy and front-end fusion algorithms, without the need for high-definition maps or high-precision positioning.
CV3-AD685: A flagship model designed for Level 3/4 advanced autonomous driving solutions, featuring up to 12 Arm Cortex-A78AE CPUs and 3 pairs of dual-core lockstep Cortex-R52 CPUs, meeting ASIL-D functional safety standards. Its neural network processing speed is 20 times faster than that of the previous-generation CV2 SoC, capable of real-time processing of 24 camera feeds, 5 millimetre-wave radar channels and 3 LiDAR channels, and supporting full-stack autonomous driving algorithms including BEV, Transformer, pre-fusion and control.

 

2. CV72 Series – Cost-effective Integrated Driving and Parking Solution
The CV72AQ is an automotive-grade 5nm AI SoC based on the CVflow 3.0 AI architecture, delivering six times the AI performance of its predecessor and capable of efficiently running Transformer neural network algorithms. The chip supports multi-sensor fusion of cameras, millimetre-wave radar and ultrasonic radar, making it suitable for integrated forward-view ADAS units and single-chip 6V5R ‘driving and parking in one’ solutions. It also features outstanding ISP image processing capabilities and H.265 encoding functionality. As a solution offering exceptional value for money for the Chinese market, the CV72AQ has achieved strong market traction.

 

3. CV72AX/CV75AX Series – Fleet Telematics and In-Vehicle Controllers
The CV72AX and CV75AX are Ambarella’s latest generation of wide-temperature AI chips, manufactured using a 5nm FinFET process. They operate reliably within a wide temperature range of -40°C to 105°C, making them ideal for fleet remote monitoring and in-vehicle intelligent controllers.
CV75AX: The ideal choice for AI dashcams integrating forward-facing ADAS and driver monitoring systems. Its AI performance is three times that of the previous-generation CV25, supports the latest Transformer neural networks, and features a built-in ultra-low-power sleep mode (less than 5 mW), enabling ‘Sentinel Mode’.
CV72AX: Suitable for next-generation in-vehicle controllers, supporting up to 10 cameras. Its AI performance is six times that of the previous-generation CV22, supporting Visual Transformer and VLM models, enabling real-time monitoring and alerts, multi-channel video pre-classification, and natural language search.
