Shenzhen Mingjiada Electronics Co., Ltd. is committed to providing customers with high-quality electronic components, spot supply original genuine BMI260 motion sensor. The sensor is a high performance 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that integrates a 16-bit 3-axis gyroscope and a 16-bit 3-axis accelerometer. Designed for smartphones, IoT devices, industrial control and Human Machine Interaction (HMI) applications, the sensor provides high accuracy motion detection with low power performance.
Product Overview (BMI260)
The BMI260 is a high-performance six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) from Bosch Sensortec that integrates a 16-bit 3-axis gyroscope and a 16-bit 3-axis accelerometer in a compact 2.5x3.0x0.8 mm³ LGA package designed for fast and accurate inertial sensing in smartphones and human-machine interface (HMI) applications, providing high-precision step counting and motion detection, and is pin-compatible with the BMI160.
Product Features (BMI260)
Superior Performance: The BMI260 uses Bosch's automotive-grade gyroscope technology to provide significant improvements in accelerometer performance, such as extremely low zero bias/zero rate shift, low temperature drift, robustness to PCB strain, and low noise density. The zero bias of the accelerometer is ±20mg, the zero bias of the gyroscope is ±0.5dps, the sensitivity error of the accelerometer is ±0.4%, and the sensitivity error of the gyroscope is also up to ±0.4% when using CRT.
Industry's First Self-Calibrating Gyroscope: The BMI260 features the industry's first self-calibrating gyroscope that uses kinematic static CRT (Component Retiming) functionality to compensate for MEMS-typical soldering drift, ensuring post-soldering sensitivity errors as low as ±0.4%, resulting in increased productivity and reduced costs.
Low Power Design: The BMI260 features an intelligent power management system that enables motion-triggered always-on functionality to operate in the ultra-low power domain of the IMU, where the host application processor only wakes up under certain circumstances, maximising idle time for the main processor and helping to significantly extend the battery life of devices such as smartphones. Typical current consumption for its accelerometers and gyroscopes is less than 700μA at full ODR (no overlay).
Powerful Synchronisation Functions: The BMI260 supports hardware and time synchronisation functions for synchronised operation of two BMI260 devices, as well as a low-latency auxiliary interface that can be freely configured for SPI or I2C operation, and dual SPI configurations that enable the BMI260 to support stereoscopic or 3D camera operation, providing greater flexibility for the design of multi-sensor systems.
Wide range of application interfaces: The BMI260 offers primary digital interfaces (SPI and I2C) and freely configurable secondary digital interfaces (SPI and I2C), a wide range of VDD and VDD0 supply voltages, and stable performance and current consumption across the entire power supply range, allowing for easy communication and integration with a wide range of host controllers.
Outstanding Temperature Stability and Stress Resistance: The BMI260's accelerometers feature extremely low zero-bias/zero-rate offset, low temperature drift, and robustness to PCB stresses to maintain stable performance under varying environmental conditions, ensuring accurate and reliable measurement data.
