On the host interface, the device also supports IEEE 802.3 Article 91 100G Reed Solomon Forward error correction (RS-FEC), as well as IEEE 802.3 Article 108 RS-FEC and IEEE 802.3 Article 74 KR-FEC (for 25 GBE operations). These, along with support for auto-negotiation and training protocols, enable the device to interface with the MAC via a 100G-KR4/25G-KR backplane link.
