Supply/Recycle Ambarella H22-A0-RH Low-Power Single High Efficient Video SoC For Dashcam
Shenzhen Mingjiada Electronics Co., Ltd. has emerged as a leader in electronic component recycling and distribution through its extensive product portfolio, global perspective, and specialised services. The company supplies and recycles the Ambarella H22-A0-RH low-power single-chip high-efficiency dashcam video system-on-chip.
The H22-A0-RH chip, utilising a 14-nanometre low-power process and efficient thermal design, achieves approximately 20% lower operating temperatures and over 40% reduced power consumption under equivalent working conditions. It simultaneously ensures smooth 12-megapixel video processing, providing a robust video processing core for high-end dashcams.
【H22-A0-RH Chip Overview】
The H22A SoC integrates image/video processing and 12MP30 video codec functionality within a single-chip low-power design, making it the ideal choice for driving the next generation of in-vehicle dashcams and video recorders. Manufactured using a 14nm process, it achieves industry-leading combinations of low power consumption and high performance for human visual and ADAS applications.
The H22A incorporates an efficient 12MP30 AVC (H.264)/HEVC (H.265) codec alongside an industry-leading image signal processor (ISP). Its ISP delivers exceptional imaging performance in low-light conditions, while high dynamic range (HDR) processing restores maximum detail in high-contrast scenes. Its flexible architecture supports multi-stream encoding, simultaneously optimising storage and WiFi/BLE video streaming. An efficient hardware distortion correction module enables ultra-wide-angle lens cameras.
The H22A also supports multi-sensor inputs, meeting the requirements of recording systems needing two or more independent sensor inputs. A quad-core Arm®-A53 processor enables ADAS functions such as forward collision warning, lane departure warning, driver monitoring, and licence plate detection and recognition. To assist customer application development, Ambarella provides software development kits based on RTOS (ThreadX)/Linux/RTOS+Linux (dual-system).
【Four Key Technical Advantages of H22-A0-RH】
Process and Power Management: Utilising a 14nm low-power CMOS process significantly reduces chip operating temperature and power consumption. This enables dashcams to function reliably in persistently high-temperature vehicle environments.
Image Processing Capability: Supports 12-megapixel video processing, delivering ultra-high-definition recording. Multi-exposure line-interlaced HDR technology ensures clear visual detail across varying lighting conditions.
Video Codec Performance: Supports 12MP30 H.264/H.265 video compression, balancing video quality with storage efficiency. This enables users to achieve both high-quality footage and extended recording durations.
Low-light processing: The chip incorporates an advanced image processing engine and 3D motion compensation noise reduction (MCTF) technology, delivering clear footage in dimly lit environments and resolving the challenges of night-time driving recording.

【H22-A0-RH Performance Breakthrough】
The H22-A0-RH's core competitive edge lies in its comprehensive imaging capabilities. Supporting 12-megapixel video processing with multi-exposure line-interlaced HDR technology, it resolves common challenges in dashcam scenarios such as backlighting and sudden light changes at tunnel entrances/exits.
The hardware distortion correction engine works in tandem with 3D Motion Compensation and Noise Reduction (MCTF) technology to effectively correct image distortion from wide-angle lenses while reducing noise in low-light night-time environments.
Regarding video encoding, this chip supports 12MP30 H.264/H.265 encoding. Compared to traditional H.264 encoding, it achieves approximately 30% storage space savings while maintaining equivalent image quality.
For dashcams requiring prolonged continuous recording with limited storage capacity, this advancement enables users to capture extended periods of high-quality video using smaller memory cards.
