LTC4372CDD Integrated Circuit Chip Low Quiescent Current Ideal Diode Controller
Product Description

The LTC4372CDD is a low-quiescent-current ideal diode controller housed in a compact 3×3 mm DFN package, designed for multi-battery redundant power distribution, servo and sensor power supply chains in humanoid robots. By replacing Schottky diodes with external N-MOSFETs, it significantly reduces forward conduction losses and heat generation.

With an operating quiescent current of just 5μA and a turn-off current of 0.5μA, it is well-suited to the intermittent motion and long standby scenarios typical of robots, effectively extending the system's overall battery life.

Supports a wide input voltage range of 2.5V to 80V, compatible with both 48V high-voltage bus systems and low-voltage sensor power supplies in robots. Features an ultra-fast reverse turn-off capability of ≤1.5μs, rapidly blocking reverse current during battery power loss or servo start/stop surges to protect the battery, driver ICs and vision sensors.

It can drive back-to-back MOSFETs to achieve surge suppression and load switching. Combined with a reverse voltage rating of -28V, it withstands power supply faults caused by reversed robot cable connections and vibrations, thereby enhancing the system's power supply stability and safety. Its ultra-compact package saves space on the robot's confined power distribution board.
