LTC4372HDD Integrated Circuit Chip Ideal Diode Controller with Low Quiescent Current 2.5 to 80 V and Ultra-Fast Reverse Current Blocking

The LTC4372HDD is a low-quiescent-current, high-voltage ideal diode controller housed in a compact 3×3 mm DFN package with a wide operating voltage range of 2.5 to 80 V. It features an operating quiescent current of just 5 μA and a shutdown current as low as 0.5 μA.

By utilizing an external NMOS transistor in place of a Schottky diode, on-state losses are significantly reduced. The controller supports ultra-fast reverse current blocking in 1.5 μs and provides -28 V reverse connection protection.

This device can be used to build multi-channel power supply redundancy OR circuits and drive back-to-back MOSFETs to achieve surge suppression. It is particularly suitable for multi-battery parallel configurations in humanoid robots, as well as redundant power distribution for servos and main controllers, balancing lightweight design, long battery life and power supply safety under dynamic operating conditions.
