Product Description
The SN65LBC184DR is a differential data line transceiver in the trade-standard footprint of the SN75176 with built-in protection against high-energy noise transients. This transceiver provides substantial reliability improvements with better immunity to noise transients coupled to data cables compared to most existing devices. It offers a reliable, low-cost, direct-coupled (no isolation transformer required) data line interface without needing external components.
The SN65LBC184DR can withstand overvoltage transients of 400W peak (typical), meeting the conventional combination wave specified in IEC 61000-4-5, which simulates overvoltage transients from switching and secondary lightning effects.
