AD5371BBCZ 40-Channel 14-Bit Voltage Output DAC Integrated Circuit Chip 100-Ball CSP_BGA

The AD5371BBCZ is a 40-channel, 14-bit, serial input, voltage output digital-to-analog converter intended for dense analogue output arrays. Each channel has its own gain and offset adjust register, and the device is guaranteed monotonic to 14 bits, so every output can be calibrated independently in system.

The output span can reach four times the reference voltage, with a nominal range of -4 V to +8 V, while the supply rails may be set from -16.5 V to -4.5 V on VSS and from 9 V to 16.5 V on VDD. Output amplifiers need 1.4 V of headroom at a 1 mA load current, leaving useful swing for industrial level setting.

Control is through a high speed serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE and DSP standards at clock rates up to 50 MHz, and a 100 MHz LVDS serial interface is also provided. A thermal shutdown function protects the die, and all outputs can be updated simultaneously by taking the LDAC input low. The AD5371BBCZ is supplied in a 100-ball CSP_BGA.

The AD5371 family covers several resolution, reference and package options. Because AD5371 devices are pin and software compatible within each package group, a design can move between AD5371 variants without rewriting firmware.
