AD5444YRMZ 12-Bit High Bandwidth Multiplying DAC with Serial Interface, 10-Lead MSOP

The AD5444YRMZ is a 12-bit, current output, multiplying digital-to-analog converter designed for signal processing applications where the reference input is a varying waveform. With a reference input range of plus or minus 10 V, the device performs four-quadrant multiplication of the digital code and the analogue input.

The AD5444YRMZ operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply and offers integral nonlinearity of plus or minus 0.5 LSB at 12 bits. Typical current consumption is only 0.4 uA, and the part is specified over the extended temperature range of -40 degrees C to +125 degrees C.

A double-buffered, three-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE and DSP standards supports clock rates up to 50 MHz. Supplied in a 10-lead MSOP, the AD5444YRMZ is used in programmable gain and attenuation, waveform generation and modulation circuits.

The AD5444 family covers several resolution, reference and package options. Because AD5444 devices are pin and software compatible within each package group, a design can move between AD5444 variants without rewriting firmware.
