AD5424YCPZ 8-Bit High Bandwidth Multiplying DAC Integrated Circuit Chip 20-Lead LFCSP

The AD5424YCPZ is an 8-bit, current output, multiplying digital-to-analog converter designed for high speed signal processing where the reference input is itself a varying waveform. With a reference input range of plus or minus 10 V, the device performs four-quadrant multiplication of the digital code and the analogue input.

The AD5424YCPZ operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply and offers a large signal multiplying bandwidth of up to 10 MHz. Integral nonlinearity is plus or minus 1 LSB, and the parallel interface supports a 17 ns write cycle with data readback, so the DAC register can be verified by the host.

On power-up the internal register and latches are cleared and the DAC outputs sit at zero scale. Supplied in a 20-lead LFCSP measuring 4 mm x 4 mm with exposed pad, the AD5424YCPZ is used in programmable gain and attenuation, waveform generation and modulation circuits.

The AD5424 family covers several resolution, reference and package options. Because AD5424 devices are pin and software compatible within each package group, a design can move between AD5424 variants without rewriting firmware.
