AD5424YRUZ 8-Bit High Bandwidth Multiplying DAC with Parallel Interface, 16-Lead TSSOP

The AD5424YRUZ is an 8-bit, current output, multiplying digital-to-analog converter for applications in which the reference input carries the signal to be scaled. A plus or minus 10 V reference range provides four-quadrant multiplication of the digital code and the analogue input.

Operating from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply, the AD5424YRUZ achieves a large signal multiplying bandwidth of up to 10 MHz with integral nonlinearity of plus or minus 1 LSB. The parallel interface accepts a 17 ns write cycle and allows the DAC register contents to be read back for verification.

The internal register and latches are cleared at power-up, forcing the DAC outputs to zero scale until the first write. Supplied in a 16-lead TSSOP, the AD5424YRUZ suits programmable gain and attenuation, waveform generation, modulation and portable battery-powered equipment.

Because AD5424 devices are pin and software compatible within each package group, a design can move between AD5424 variants without rewriting firmware.
