AD5790BCPZ 20-Bit Voltage Output DAC with ±2 LSB INL 40-Lead LFCSP Integrated Circuit Chip

The AD5790BCPZ is a single 20-bit voltage output digital to analog converter in a 40-lead LFCSP package measuring 4 mm by 5 mm. It targets precision instrumentation and test systems where resolution and long term stability decide the usable accuracy of the whole signal chain.

Integral nonlinearity is plus or minus 2 LSB maximum, and long term linearity error stability is 0.1 LSB, so a calibrated system holds its transfer function over time. Output noise density is 8 nV per root Hz, low enough that the converter itself does not set the noise floor of a high resolution measurement.

Gain error drift is plus or minus 0.018 ppm per degree C, and the output settles to 2.5 microseconds with a 3.5 nV-s midscale glitch impulse. Integrated precision reference buffers remove the need for an external buffer stage and keep the reference path short and stable.

The part operates from supplies up to plus or minus 16.5 V, which supports wide bipolar output swings, and the 35 MHz Schmitt-triggered digital interface is compatible with 1.8 V logic. It is specified from -40 C to +125 C for instruments that must stay accurate in real environments.
