LTC2633ACTS8-HI12 Dual 12-Bit I2C DAC Wide Output Swing 8-Lead TSOT-23 Integrated Circuit Chip

The LTC2633ACTS8-HI12 is a dual 12-bit voltage output digital to analog converter with an I2C compatible interface, supplied in an 8-lead TSOT-23 package. The H version provides a 4.096 V full-scale output from an integrated reference, so two accurate channels fit into a footprint smaller than most single channel solutions.

The internal reference is specified at 10 ppm per degree C, and integral nonlinearity is plus or minus 1.5 LSB maximum for the A grade. Output noise is 0.75 mV peak to peak over the 0.1 Hz to 200 kHz band, and the transfer function is guaranteed monotonic from -40 C to +125 C.

Each channel has a double-buffered data latch, so a new code can be loaded without disturbing the output until the update command arrives. Power-on reset can be ordered to zero scale, midscale or high impedance, which defines the state a system wakes up in.

The part runs from 2.7 V to 5.5 V and draws 0.4 mA at 3 V, making it practical for battery powered instruments and loop powered transmitters. The reference can also be overdriven externally when a shared system reference is preferred.
