LTC2633ACTS8-LI12 Dual 12-Bit I2C DAC 2.5V Full-Scale 8-Lead TSOT-23 Integrated Circuit Chip

The LTC2633ACTS8-LI12 is a dual 12-bit voltage output digital to analog converter from the LTC2633 family, supplied in an 8-lead TSOT-23 package. The L version provides a 2.5 V full-scale output from an integrated reference, so two calibrated channels fit into a footprint normally used by a single channel device.

On the LTC2633ACTS8-LI12 the reference is trimmed to 10 ppm per degree C, and the A grade holds integral nonlinearity to plus or minus 1.5 LSB maximum. Output noise is 0.75 mV peak to peak from 0.1 Hz to 200 kHz, and the LTC2633 transfer function is guaranteed monotonic from -40 C to +125 C.

Each LTC2633 channel has a double-buffered data latch, so a new code loads without moving the output until the update command is sent over the I2C bus. Power-on reset is selectable as zero scale, midscale or high impedance, which defines the safe state at power up.

The LTC2633ACTS8-LI12 runs from 2.7 V to 5.5 V and draws 0.4 mA at 3 V, which suits battery powered instruments and loop powered transmitters. The internal reference can be overdriven by an external system reference when the LTC2633 must track a shared rail.
