LTC2635CUD-HMI12 12-Bit Voltage-Output DACs QFN-16 Package IC Chip Digital To Analog Converters

The LTC2635CUD-HMI12 is a quad 12-bit voltage output digital to analog converter from the LTC2635 series, supplied in a 16-Pin 3 mm x 3 mm QFN package. Four buffered outputs and an integrated precision reference sit on one chip, which cuts the part count of multi-channel control cards.

On the LTC2635CUD-HMI12 the internal reference is trimmed to 10 ppm per degree C and provides a 4.096 V full-scale output. Maximum INL is plus or minus 2.5 LSB on the 12-bit option. The output buffers are monotonic over all codes, so closed-loop calibration and setpoint control behave predictably across the whole transfer function.

Data is written over the I2C compatible port into double-buffered latches, so channels can be loaded and then updated together or independently. Power-on reset places the outputs at midscale before the first command, keeping downstream circuitry in a defined state.

The LTC2635CUD-HMI12 runs from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and draws only 0.6 mA at 3 V, which suits compact control and calibration boards. Low 0.75 mVp-p noise and 3 nV-s channel-to-channel crosstalk keep precision multi-channel loops stable.
