AD9115BCPZ Integrated Circuit Chip LFCSP-40 10-Bit Low Power DACs Digital To Analog Converters

The AD9115BCPZ is a dual 10-bit low power TxDAC digital to analog converter from the AD9115 series, supplied in a 40-lead LFCSP. Two matched current output cores share a single CMOS input port, keeping power and board area low in portable and high channel count designs.

Power dissipation for the AD9115BCPZ is 191 mW at 10 MSPS and 232 mW at 125 MSPS with a 20 mA output, and sleep mode drops below 3 mW. The supply rail can be anywhere from 1.8 V to 3.3 V, so the converter interfaces directly to modern low voltage logic.

Differential current outputs span 4 mA to 20 mA and two on-chip auxiliary DACs are available for offset or gain trimming. SFDR to Nyquist is 86 dBc at 1 MHz output and 85 dBc at 10 MHz output, with noise spectral density of -143 dBc/Hz at 10 MHz output.

Output common mode is adjustable from 0 V to 1.2 V, which simplifies the interface to a transformer or a differential amplifier such as the AD8130. The exposed pad of the LFCSP must be soldered to a solid ground plane for thermal and noise performance.
