The LTC2641IDD-14 is a single-channel 14-bit voltage output digital to analog converter from the LTC2641 series, supplied in an 8-Lead DFN. The unbuffered output drives 60k loads directly, which removes an external buffer from the signal chain.

On the LTC2641IDD-14 the 16-bit linearity target is plus or minus 1 LSB over temperature and the transfer function is guaranteed monotonic over temperature, so codes are delivered without missing steps. Glitch impulse is 0.5 nV-s and settling to 16 bits takes 1 microsecond.

The device runs from 2.7 V to 5.5 V and draws only 120 microamps, which suits loop-powered transmitters and battery-backed instruments. A 50 MHz SPI, QSPI and MICROWIRE compatible serial interface plus Schmitt-trigger inputs allows direct optocoupler drive.

Power-on reset clears the output to zero scale, and the asynchronous CLR pin forces the same state on demand. The 3 mm x 3 mm footprint keeps the analog section compact on dense control cards.
