LTC1590CS 12-Bit Multiplying DACs Digital To Analog Converter IC SO-16 Integrated Circuit Chip

The LTC1590CS is a dual serial 12-bit multiplying digital to analog converter in a 16-pin narrow SO package, ordered in the commercial temperature grade. It keeps DNL and INL within plus or minus 0.5 LSB over temperature on both channels.

Gain error is plus or minus 1 LSB maximum and total supply current is 10 microamps maximum for the pair, which suits battery-backed instruments and 4 mA to 20 mA loop transmitters.

Four-quadrant multiplication allows each reference input to swing in both directions, so the two channels can serve as programmable gain and offset stages in one package. A daisy-chain serial output lets further devices share the same three control lines.

Power-on reset and the asynchronous clear input define the wiper outputs at startup. The LTC1590CS uses the same die as the PDIP version, so surface mount and through-hole builds share specifications.

The LTC1590CS is RoHS compliant and lead free, and every order ships with full traceability. Samples and volume pricing are available on request.
