LTC1329ACS8-50 8-Bit Current Output DACs SO-8 Integrated Circuit Chip Digital To Analog Converters

The LTC1329ACS8-50 is a micropower 8-bit current output digital to analog converter in an 8-pin SO package, with a 50 microamps full-scale output current trimmed to plus or minus 2.5 percent. The A grade covers the industrial temperature range.

Output voltage compliance spans minus 17 V to 2.5 V, so the current can be sunk into a remote load or summed at a virtual ground far below the supply. Supply range is 2.5 V to 6.5 V.

Supply current is 55 microamps for the -10 version and 65 microamps for the -50 version, dropping to 0.2 microamps in shutdown. The DAC powers up at mid-range, so a control loop starts from a defined current.

A Triple Mode interface supports SPI and other three-line protocols, and the 8-bit DAC value can be read back in SPI mode. The same die is offered in 8-pin SO and PDIP, so either assembly style can be sourced.
