LTC4332HUFD Industrial SPI Extender Over Rugged Differential Link QFN-20 Integrated Circuit Chip

The LTC4332HUFD is a point-to-point SPI extender that carries SPI data, an interrupt signal and slave selects across two twisted pair cables in high noise industrial environments, packaged in a QFN-20.

A plus or minus 60 V fault protected differential transceiver allows 2 MHz SCK over 10 m of cable, with operation over links as long as 1200 m, which covers machine cells, lighting rigs and remote sensor clusters.

An extended common mode range of plus or minus 25 V tolerates large ground differences between nodes, and the link pins are rated to plus or minus 40 kV HBM ESD, plus or minus 6 kV IEC ESD and plus or minus 4 kV EFT.

Configuration and fault monitoring use a separate slave select channel, while three extended slave selects and an extended interrupt are passed transparently to the remote SPI device. Each end can be programmed for its own SPI mode.

The LTC4332HUFD is a Industrial H grade device operating from 3 V to 5.5 V with logic supply from 1.62 V to 5.5 V. It is RoHS compliant and ships with full traceability; samples and volume pricing are available on request.
