LTC4318CUF QFN-20 Dual Input Dual Output I2C Address Translator Integrated Circuit Chip

The LTC4318 is an I2C and SMBus address translator in a QFN-20 package that allows several slaves with the same hardwired address to coexist on one bus without firmware changes.

This version provides 2 input channels and 2 output channels, so the same address can be presented to more than one group of devices. Only discrete resistors are needed to set the translated address, and up to 127 different translations are available.

A pass-through mode disables translation so the master can still issue general call addresses, which keeps system level commands working after the translator is fitted.

The device recovers automatically from abnormal bus conditions such as a bus stuck low or a premature STOP bit, and a stuck bus timeout protects SDA and SCL during live board insertion.

It supports level translation between 2.5 V, 3.3 V and 5 V buses and is rated to plus or minus 4 kV HBM ESD. Specified from 0 to +70 degree C, the LTC4318 is RoHS compliant and ships with full traceability.
