The HMC7144LC4 is a 28 Gbps EML modulator driver with an integrated peak detector, built for 100GbE ER4 and LR4 optical modules and for CFP or CFP2 style pluggable form factors. The driver delivers the modulation swing an electro absorption modulator needs while the on chip peak detector gives the module a bias control signal without extra optics-side circuitry.
