ADM3095EARZ Integrated Circuit Chip Level 4 EMC Protected RS485 Transceiver IC, 16-Lead SOIC

The ADM3095EARZ is a 3.0V to 5.5V, 2.5Mbps RS485 transceiver that integrates the surge, EFT and ESD protection normally added as external components around the bus pins. The A and B pins withstand IEC 61000-4-5 Level 4 surges up to ±4kV and IEC 61000-4-4 Level 4 fast transients up to ±2kV.

Electrostatic discharge is handled to IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 with ±8kV contact and ±15kV air gap discharge, while human body model ratings on the bus pins exceed ±30kV, so no latch-up or damage occurs during handling and field service.

Bus overvoltage fault protection is rated at ±42V ac or dc peak, covering short circuits directly to power supplies and miswiring of a ±24V ac supply onto the A and B pins. Conducted RF immunity to IEC 61000-4-6 at 10V/m rms is certified, which matters in cabinets with drives and contactors.

An extended common mode input range of ±25V keeps communication reliable over long cables where ground loop voltages appear, and the receiver stays defined when the bus is idle or floating. The ADM3095EARZ is supplied in a 16-Lead SOIC package and ships as new original material.
