IRS2877A Sensor IC Automotive Time-Of-Flight Imager With VGA System Resolution

The IRS2877A is an automotive-qualified member of the REAL3™ Time-of-Flight (ToF) imager family. This advanced sensor offers VGA system resolution (640x480 pixels) within a compact 1/4" (4 mm) image circle, enabling the use of lens sizes commonly found in mobile phone applications. The camera module features an optimized bill of materials with integrated eye-safety functionality and an efficient power supply design requiring only standard 1.8V and 3.3V voltages.

Engineered for superior performance in challenging lighting conditions, the IRS2877A incorporates the 5th generation of ToF pixel design with on-chip suppression of background illumination (SBI) circuitry in every pixel. This ensures reliable operation even in strong sunlight. The imager is packaged in a 9x9 mm optical BGA format compatible with standard soldering processes.
