Product Description Of ADXL312
The ADXL312 is a compact, low-power, 3-axis accelerometer capable of high-resolution (13-bit) measurements up to ±12 g. Digital output data is formatted as 16-bit two's complement and accessible through either SPI (3- or 4-wire) or I2C digital interfaces.
Well-suited for automotive applications such as car alarms and black boxes, the ADXL312 measures static acceleration of gravity for tilt-sensing applications, as well as dynamic acceleration from motion or shock. Its high resolution (2.9 mg/LSB) enables detection of inclination changes as small as 0.25°. Built-in FIFO facilitates oversampling techniques to improve resolution to 0.05° of inclination.
