TJA1145T Product Overview】

The TJA1145T is a high-speed CAN transceiver specifically optimised for automotive local area networking applications. It interfaces between the CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus, supporting standard CAN 2.0 and CAN FD protocols with data transfer rates up to 2 Mbit/s.

 

One of the TJA1145T's most notable features is its exceptionally low power consumption – reduced to minimal levels in standby and sleep modes. This makes it highly suitable for nodes that are perpetually connected to battery power yet subject to stringent power constraints.

 

The TJA1145T variant incorporates a dedicated feature termed ‘FD-Passive’. This enables the device to ignore CAN FD frames whilst awaiting a valid wake-up frame during sleep/standby mode.

 

This provides an ideal solution for networks supporting both CAN FD and standard CAN 2.0 communication.

 

During CAN FD communication, the TJA1145T permits standard CAN controllers not transmitting CAN FD messages to remain in local network sleep/standby mode without generating bus errors.

 

The TJA1145T further incorporates advanced power management, supporting local wake-up via the WAKE pin and remote wake-up via the CAN bus.
